Data Literacy Educator - Generalist

About the role

As a Freelance Data Literacy and AI Educator at Data Literacy Academy, you'll lead live online classes that bring data literacy and AI to life for professionals across sectors. Using DL Academy’s ready-to-deliver materials and interactive formats, you'll help learners build the skills they need to apply data in their day-to-day roles.

You’ll teach sessions as part of our Data for Business and Data for Business Pro programmes, focused on topics like asking better business questions, visualising insights, exploring Excel and BI tools and self-serve analytics.  

Hours

20 teaching hours/month (plus prep)

You’ll be responsible for

• Delivering 1–3 hour virtual workshops to professional learners
• Bringing energy, clarity and practical application to structured curriculum content
• Sharing examples from your professional experience to add credibility and bring key data principles to life
• Liaising with our Education Delivery Manager and class Facilitators ahead of each session
• Participating in our light-touch onboarding and QA process

You’d be a great fit if you…

• Are an experienced educator, trainer or data professional with excellent communication skills, particularly in data storytelling and data communication
• Are confident leading virtual group sessions (Zoom, Teams, etc.)
• Have hands-on experience with Excel and data visualisation tools like Tableau or Power BI (extra points if you have both!)
• Understand how data drives decision-making in a business context
• Enjoy simplifying complex topics and supporting learner engagement
