Purpose of the Role:

As a Strategy Analyst at Data Literacy Academy, you will collaborate closely with the Head of Strategy to support the development and execution of strategic initiatives that drive our mission forward. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the trajectory of a rapidly growing startup while honing your skills in strategic analysis and business operations.

This position is ideal for individuals considering a career in management consulting but seeking a more hands-on, entrepreneurial environment where they can see the tangible impact of their work. The successful candidate will possess a natural curiosity, a structured approach to thinking, and a desire to contribute meaningfully to our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Develop actionable insights and recommendations for the Head of Strategy and other senior leaders.
  • Analyse complex problems holistically, considering how solutions impact different areas of the organisation and align with broader strategic goals.
  • Support the creation of high-quality presentations, reports, and communications for internal and external stakeholders, including investors and partners.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Revenue, Product, Marketing, and Education to deliver strategic projects.
  • Manage and assist on special projects upon request.
  • Monitor and evaluate progress against the company’s strategic objectives and propose adjustments to improve outcomes.
  • Contribute to brainstorming and idea generation sessions, ensuring a fresh and innovative perspective is brought to discussions.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A recent graduate with a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Economics, Business, Mathematics, or another discipline that develops analytical and problem-solving skills).
  • A natural systems thinker who excels at understanding the big picture and identifying how different elements interact within a broader context.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to synthesise large volumes of information into clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
  • A proactive and self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment and takes ownership of their work.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • A deep interest in startups, technology, and the EdTech sector, with a passion for solving complex problems creatively.
  • Previous experience (e.g., internships) in consulting, strategy, or research roles is advantageous but not essential.

Why Join Us?

  • Mission-Driven Impact: Be part of a category defining company dedicated to advancing Data Literacy and making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

  • Collaborative Culture: Join a team of passionate, supportive individuals who value fresh perspectives and innovative thinking.
  • Flexibility & Opportunity: A dynamic and inclusive work environment where your contributions will be seen, valued, and celebrated. Plus A remote-first working model with 2 days per month in-office in Birmingham.
