Greg Freeman named 'One to Watch' in LDC's Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders 2025
London, UK – 9 October 2024 Data Literacy Academy is proud to announce that its founder and CEO, Greg Freeman, has been recognised as One to Watch in the prestigious LDC Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders 2025, supported by The Times.
Now in its eighth year, the LDC Top 50 programme showcases the UK’s most driven and dynamic entrepreneurs, the leaders turning bold ideas into real impact. Selected from nearly 700 nominations, Greg joins a select group of founders pushing boundaries in their industries and shaping the future of British business.
The judges cited Data Literacy Academy’s role in “creating a category where none existed” as a key reason behind the recognition, a nod to its pioneering approach to business data and AI literacy, and its growing reputation as the go-to partner for enterprise-scale transformation. Freeman’s vision has helped shift the conversation around data from tech tools to people strategy and in doing so, positioned data literacy as a C-suite priority.
“Data Literacy Academy is now setting the global standard in business data & AI literacy, and building a brand that top talent choose as the best career decision they’ve ever made.”

This year’s Top 50 cohort represents businesses with a combined turnover of £1.2bn, employing almost 10,000 people across 67 UK towns and cities. All share a common trait: an ambition to grow, challenge convention, and make a measurable difference. Most expect to at least double in size within three years.
John Garner, Managing Partner at LDC, added: “It’s been seven years since we launched The LDC Top 50 and in that time we’ve had the privilege of meeting some truly remarkable people, and this year has been no different. I’d like to congratulate this year’s Ones to Watch on their achievements so far – we can’t wait to see what they do next.”
From the beginning, Freeman has made it clear that the best way to increase a business' data and AI literacy is to first focus on behaviour, confidence and culture. Since launching Data Literacy Academy, he and his team have worked with some of the UK’s largest organisations to build practical, scalable learning ecosystems, helping data leaders demonstrate ROI, drive adoption of AI, and future-proof their workforce.
