What this role is

As an Instructional Designer, you’ll play a key role in bringing our OnDemand learning experiences to life. Sitting within the Product team and reporting to the Head of OnDemand, you’ll design, build and refine high-quality digital lessons that are engaging, structured and aligned to our quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is curious, detail-oriented and excited about building deep capability in digital learning design. While positioned as a junior role, we’re open to expanding scope for a more experienced candidate.

You’ll turn lesson concepts into polished, interactive learning experiences using tools such as Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise) and Synthesia, while helping to maintain the operational excellence behind our growing OnDemand platform.

What you’ll be responsible for

eLearning Content Creation

• Design and build interactive lessons using Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise).
• Create and integrate AI-generated video content using Synthesia.
• Translate lesson briefs, scripts and skeletons into engaging, learner-friendly digital experiences.
• Ensure all lessons meet quality, accessibility and consistency standards.

Instructional Design Collaboration

Working closely with the Head of OnDemand, you will:

• Define clear and engaging lesson names.
• Draft measurable learning outcomes.
• Develop structured lesson skeletons and storyboards.
• Produce lesson scripts aligned to our tone, pedagogy and learner needs.

Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement

• Manage the lesson QA process and associated stakeholder communication.
• Implement QA feedback quickly and accurately within short turnaround windows.
• Maintain version control and ensure final outputs are delivery-ready.
• Identify opportunities to improve lesson structure, clarity and engagement.

• LMS and Operational Delivery
  
  • Build and configure lessons within the LMS.
  • Upload milestone video assets and supporting materials to lesson pages.
  • Support structured improvements to OnDemand documentation and internal processes.
  • Help maintain operational rigour as our OnDemand library scales.

What we’re looking for

Essential

• A strong desire to build a career in instructional design, eLearning or digital education.
• Some exposure to content creation tools (this could be Articulate, PowerPoint, video tools, LMS platforms, or similar).
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and short turnaround times.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and willingness to learn new tools quickly.

Nice to have

• Experience using Articulate 360 (Storyline or Rise).
• Experience using Synthesia or other AI video platforms.
• Familiarity with LMS platforms and lesson configuration.
• Experience working with structured QA processes.
• Strong time management and diary management skills.
• Exposure to data, analytics or data literacy concepts.
